Mostly because the young woman calling herself Amy had practically begged her too and she really didn’t want to leave Matthew’s new student Nick Wolf alone with Amanda for any length of time given their history. Besides once she’d promised the old owner of this place that she’d tell him the tale of the birth of his immortal friend Duncan Macleod one day. She never got the chance he died a few months back. When Max was a little boy he thought that is was great that Alex knew a couple real live injuin’s. Knowing only the movies portrayals at the time he always thought that they were noble savages. However when he was twelve he discovered how not so noble they could be one New Years Eve when uncle Coyote got quite drunk and kept trying to grab auntie Muire’s breast until auntie Muire’s friend uncle Kol’tek got mad and punched him saying “She's not Alex you fucking dipshit.” before throwing him outside in the cold snow to sober up. now if you know anything about native american mythlogy coyote is a trickster.
